Career Transition Programs - 3 Month

Designed for managers and employees facing straightforward career transition situations, this program provides re-employment services for three months. Like all LMC re-employment programs it is based on one-on-one consulting sessions and includes use of office and administrative services.

Overall the program includes:

  • On-site attendance by an LMC consultant at termination to provide immediate support to terminating manager and employee.
  • Individual counselling for a three month period to ensure support for an effective and active job search.
  • Provision of the LMC Job Search Manual.
  • Individual financial counselling by an outside consultant.
  • Self-assessment and in-house testing to define career direction
  • Assistance in developing and executing job search strategies and detail marketing plan
  • Preparation of market focused resume(s)
  • Assistance with letter writing including ad response, networking, self-marketing, and thank you letters
  • Intensive interview training that is videotaped and carefully reviewed with the individual.
  • Participation in all seminars
  • Entrepreneurial support for those interested in self-employment
  • Evaluation of job offers and assistance in negotiating permanent or contract agreements with prospective employers
  • Full administrative support, use of office space and in-house business reference library
  • On-site computers with direct access to Internet; training on how to use the Internet for job search and self-employment; and Internet research assistance
  • Access to extensive job postings; current list of major search firms
